SIMCO Electronics provides ISO/IEC 17025 accredited pressure calibration services designed to ensure your instruments deliver reliable and traceable measurements. Whether for laboratory, field, or production environments, SIMCO’s pressure calibration programs help maintain compliance, reduce downtime, and safeguard product quality.

Why Choose SIMCO for Pressure Calibration?

  • ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation – Calibrations performed under the umbrella of an accredited Quality System.
  • Traceability – All standards are traceable to the International System of Units (SI) through NIST or other national metrology institutes.
  • Comprehensive Documentation – Certificates include test points, tolerances, measurement uncertainties, and environmental conditions.
  • Flexible Service Options – Available in-lab or on-site nationwide to minimize downtime.
  • Data Management – SIMCO’s asset management system (CERDAAC) provides reminders, status tracking, and centralized record access.

Pressure Calibration Capabilities

SIMCO’s laboratories are equipped to calibrate a wide variety of pressure instruments across ranges and media types:

  • Gauge Pressure - Measures pressure relative to ambient atmosphere. Typical ranges span from a few inches of water to over 10,000 psi.
  • Absolute Pressure - Referenced to vacuum, used in barometric, environmental, and sealed-system applications.
  • Differential Pressure - Ideal for filters, cleanrooms, and flow elements where small pressure differences are critical.
  • Vacuum - Calibrations from rough to high vacuum, using appropriate standards and procedures per range.
  • Pressure Controllers & Calibrators - Verification of both indication and control functionality, including stability, leak rate, and step response.
  • Supported Units & Media - Common pressure units include psi, bar, kPa, inH₂O, mmHg, and torr. SIMCO calibrates using clean, dry air or nitrogen, with liquid media available upon request.

Industries Served

  • Medical Device & Biotech – Validate leak, occlusion, infusion, and sterilization processes aligned with ISO 13485 and FDA requirements.
  • Aerospace & Defense – Ensure accuracy in pneumatic, hydraulic, and environmental control systems under AS9100 standards.
  • Semiconductor & Electronics – Support process gas delivery, vacuum systems, and cleanroom monitoring.
  • Industrial Manufacturing – Maintain quality and safety in pressure-based automation, hydraulics, and testing applications.

Pressure Calibration FAQs

How often should I calibrate my pressure instruments?
A 12-month interval is typical. Instruments in high-use or critical applications may require more frequent calibration.

What standards does SIMCO follow?
All calibrations are performed under the umbrella of an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited quality system or in compliance with ANSI/NCSL Z540.1 with traceability to SI units through NIST or other national metrology institutes.

Do you offer on-site calibration?
Yes. SIMCO provides both in-lab and on-site pressure calibration to reduce downtime while maintaining full compliance and quality documentation.

What does my calibration certificate include?
Each certificate documents as-found/as-left readings, tolerances, uncertainties, environmental conditions, and reference standards used.
