Our Calibration Process 

  1. Intake & Functional Check – Verify accessories, firmware, and baseline operation. 
  2. As-Found Data – Record performance prior to adjustment. 
  3. Adjustment/Repair – Perform manufacturer-recommended adjustments (if applicable) and minor corrections with customer approval for repairs. 
  4. As-Left Verification – Confirm performance across specified points; document uncertainty. 
  5. Certification & Return – Deliver digital certificate with full data package and service label.

Typical Calibration Intervals 

Many quality systems adopt 12-month intervals for dosimetry and survey instruments; higher-use or critical safety applications may require more frequent checks. Some industries may require specific intervals for a particular application or regulation. SIMCO can align intervals with manufacturer guidance and your QA program. 

Frequently Asked Questions 

Can you calibrate my detector and electrometer as a system?
Yes. We calibrate probes/chambers with their associated readout to reflect in-use performance. Separate component calibration is available on request. 

What about kVp accuracy and HVL?
Where instrument capability allows, we verify kVp and HVL/filtration using appropriate beam qualities and reference standards. 

How fast is turnaround?
